Surron for sale: every Sur-Ron model compared, with prices, real specs and road status
By Kobolt Bikes · ·

A Surron for sale in our range costs between €3,568 and €7,820, and the right model depends on your weight, your experience and where you ride, not only on the peak kW on a spec sheet. This guide compares the four Sur-Ron families we stock, Light Bee X, Ultra Bee, Storm Bee and Hyper Bee, with prices from our catalogue, specifications from our product pages and the sources we cite, and an honest explanation of why published figures for the same bike disagree.

Quick picks: every Surron for sale side by side
Start with the table. Prices are our current catalogue prices in euro including delivery to Denmark. Power is the peak figure, battery is voltage and amp-hours, weight is the dry weight we could source, and top speed is shown only where it is published. A dash means we found no reliable figure and left it out rather than guess. Click a model for the full product page.
| Model | Price | Motor (kW, as published) | Battery | Weight | Top speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sur-Ron Light Bee X | €4,048 | 6–8 | 60 V / 40 Ah | 45 kg | – |
| Sur-Ron Ultra Bee | €5,060 | 12.5 | 74 V / 55 Ah | 85 kg | 90 km/h |
| Sur-Ron Storm Bee | €7,820 | 22.5 | 104 V / 55 Ah | – | 110 km/h |
| Sur-Ron Hyper Bee | €3,568 | 5 | 50.4 V / 25 Ah | 39 kg | 55 km/h |
| Sur-Ron Hyper Bee 12/10 Youth | €3,568 | 5 | 50.4 V / 25 Ah | 38 kg | 55 km/h |
Three things stand out. First, the family is a ladder: the Sur-Ron Light Bee X at €4,048 is the light, simple entry; the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee at €5,060 adds roughly twice the peak power and a bigger battery; the Sur-Ron Storm Bee at €7,820 is the full-size motocross machine. Second, the Hyper Bee is a different class: a 5 kW pit-bike-sized bike at 38 to 39 kg. Third, peak power is a poor guide on its own, which the next sections explain.
How the Sur-Ron range fits together
Sur-Ron built its name on the Light Bee, the model that started the wave of lightweight electric dirt bikes. A compact aluminium frame, a mid-mounted motor and instant torque made it easy for adults to ride off-road without a clutch, gears or fuel. The Ultra Bee and Storm Bee took the same idea up the size and power ladder, and the Hyper Bee brought it down to youth and pit-bike size.
That ladder matters when you choose. If you ride trails and forest tracks and want the lightest, simplest bike, you are looking at the Light Bee X. If you are heavier, ride faster or want more battery for longer days, the Ultra Bee is the step up. If you want a bike for motocross tracks and steep, rough terrain, the Storm Bee is the one. If the rider is smaller or younger, the Hyper Bee is the platform. Our Sur-Ron versus Talaria comparison covers the main alternative brand.

Sur-Ron Light Bee X: the light entry
The Light Bee X lists 6 to 8 kW peak depending on version, a 60 V / 40 Ah battery and 45 kg dry (57 kg curb) on our product page, for €4,048. It is the bike to choose if you are new to electric dirt bikes, if weight matters because you load it on a van or carry it over a gate, or if you want the largest range of aftermarket parts and accessories. It is also the model most riders mean when they say "Sur-Ron".
Its limits are the flip side of its strengths. It is light, so heavier riders will notice the suspension and the motor working harder on steep climbs. It is the slowest bike in the range, so on open tracks you will outgrow it first. If you are unsure between the Light Bee X and the Ultra Bee, think about your weight and where you ride: on tight trails at a lighter weight the Light Bee X is plenty, and for heavier riders or faster ground the Ultra Bee makes more sense.
Sur-Ron Ultra Bee: the all-round step up
The Ultra Bee lists 12.5 kW peak, a 74 V / 55 Ah battery, six ride modes including crawl and reverse, and about 90 km/h, at around 85 kg for €5,060. It combines real performance with more control than the Light Bee X: the ride modes let you tame it on a technical trail or open it up on a straight, and the crawl mode helps on steep, slow sections.
It is the sensible choice for adults who have ridden a Light Bee and want more, for heavier riders, and for anyone who plans long days. The price premium over the Light Bee X is €1,012, and for that you get roughly twice the peak power and a noticeably larger battery. The trade-off is weight: at about 85 kg it is almost twice the Light Bee X, which you feel when you lift it.
Sur-Ron Storm Bee: full-size motocross power
The Storm Bee lists 22.5 kW peak (10 kW rated), a 104 V / 55 Ah battery, a claimed 120 km range and 110 km/h top speed, for €7,820, with surron.com and 1000ps.com as our sources. It is the largest and fastest of the family, built for riders who want a motocross-style bike and have the experience to handle that much torque. We left out a weight figure because sources disagree.
It costs €3,772 more than the Light Bee X, so it is not a first bike. Choose it if you ride tracks and steep, rough terrain regularly, if you are heavy or tall, or if you want an electric replacement for a petrol motocross bike. If you are still learning, start lower; you can step up later.
Sur-Ron Hyper Bee and Youth: the small platform
The Sur-Ron Hyper Bee (€3,568) lists 5 kW peak, a 50.4 V / 25 Ah battery, 55 km/h and 39 kg, with 14-inch and 12-inch wheels. The Hyper Bee 12/10 Youth is the same motor and battery on 12-inch and 10-inch wheels at 38 kg, also €3,568; its figures come from dealer listings, so confirm them with us before ordering. These are for smaller or younger riders who have outgrown a basic kids bike. For younger children, see our guide to motorbikes for kids.
Why published Sur-Ron specs disagree
If you compare spec sheets, dealer pages and review sites, you will find different numbers for the same Sur-Ron. That is not always an error. There are four common reasons. First, version: the Light Bee X exists in more than one configuration, which is why our page says 6 to 8 kW peak "depending on version". Second, peak versus rated power: the Storm Bee is 22.5 kW peak but 10 kW rated, and sources quote one or the other. Third, dry versus curb weight: 45 kg dry and 57 kg curb for the Light Bee X are both correct. Fourth, model year and market: batteries and controllers change between years and between road-approved and off-road versions.
Practical advice: compare bikes on the same basis (peak with peak, dry with dry), ask the seller which version and model year you are buying, and get the specification in writing. We publish the figure and its source on every product page, and where sources disagree we say so rather than choose the flattering one.
Road status: what to know before you ride
The Sur-Ron models in our catalogue are sold as off-road bikes for private land. Under EU Regulation (EU) No 168/2013, a two-wheeled vehicle that is registered for public roads must be type-approved in an L-category such as L1e or L3e; an off-road-only model has no such approval and cannot simply be registered later. Our product pages say the same: the Light Bee X and Ultra Bee are intended for off-road use and are not road-legal on public roads without registration and homologation.
Sur-Ron does list road-approved variants in some markets, so if you want a bike for both road and trail, ask us whether the exact model has approval before you pay. Licence classes and minimum ages differ by country; our sourced guides cover Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain and Finland. For a wider buying guide, see our article on dirt bike electric models.
Which Sur-Ron for which rider
- First electric dirt bike, lighter rider, trails: Light Bee X.
- Heavier adult, longer days, faster ground: Ultra Bee.
- Experienced rider, tracks and steep terrain: Storm Bee.
- Smaller or younger rider: Hyper Bee or Hyper Bee 12/10 Youth.
If you are torn between two models, choose the smaller one first and step up later. Browse the full range of electric dirt bikes for sale and the compare page to see them next to other brands.

What a Sur-Ron really costs
Our Sur-Ron prices run from €3,568 to €7,820 including delivery to Denmark. We ship from Germany with free EU land shipping on orders over €3,000, orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, and the products carry a 2-year guarantee. The minimum order is €350. Budget separately for a certified helmet, gloves, boots and a back protector, a second battery if you ride all day, and basic spares such as brake pads, chain and sprockets.
When you compare offers, look at the total price with delivery, the guarantee terms and the availability of parts, not only the headline number. Ask us on the contact page for the current price, stock and the exact version of any model.
Buying checklist and common mistakes
- Ask which version and model year you are buying. Sur-Ron specs change between versions.
- Compare on the same basis. Peak with peak, dry weight with dry weight.
- Decide road or trail first. Ask for the type approval in writing if you want to register it.
- Match the model to your weight and terrain. Do not buy the Storm Bee as a first bike.
- Beware of too-good prices. A new Sur-Ron far below market is a warning sign; buy from a seller with a company registration and a guarantee.
- Check parts and support. Brake pads, chain and tyres wear out.
- Budget for protective gear. A helmet and protection are not optional.
