Segway Danmark guide: X260 vs Xaber 300 prices, power, range, speed and road status
By Kobolt Bikes · ·

If you are looking at Segway Danmark options, Segway has two electric dirt bikes in our catalogue, and they are far apart: the Segway Dirt eBike X260 at €5,200 is a 5 kW bike built around long range, while the Segway Xaber 300 at €4,875 is a 21 kW performance bike with a 96 km/h top speed. That makes the cheaper bike the much stronger one, which surprises most buyers. This guide compares the two with prices from our catalogue and the specifications on our product pages, explains what the range and speed claims really mean, and tells you plainly who should buy which.

Segway Danmark quick picks: X260 and Xaber 300 side by side
Start with the table. Prices are our current catalogue prices in euro, including delivery to Denmark. Power is the peak figure, battery is voltage and amp-hours, weight is the published weight and speed is the top speed in the specification we could source. A dash means we found no reliable figure for that bike and left it out instead of guessing. Click a model to open its product page.
| Model | Price | Motor (kW, as published) | Battery | Weight | Top speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Segway Dirt eBike X260 | €5,200 | 5 | – | – | 75 km/h |
| Segway Xaber 300 | €4,875 | 21 | 72 V / 44 Ah | 85 kg | 96 km/h |
Three things stand out. First, the Segway Xaber 300 costs €325 less than the Segway Dirt eBike X260 and has about 4.2 times the peak power (21 kW against 5 kW). Second, the X260 is the one that claims the longer range, up to approximately 120 km against up to 100 km for the Xaber. Third, neither bike is road-legal without registration: both are sold as off-road bikes for private land.
How the two Segway dirt bikes differ
The two bikes are not generations of the same model. The X260 sits in the long-range, balanced-handling class. Our product page describes it as one of the longest-range bikes in its class with forgiving handling, a strong choice for longer trail rides where you do not want to run out of power. The Xaber 300 is the performance bike: instant torque, a 72 V / 44 Ah battery of about 3 kWh, 85 kg, and full suspension with 220 mm of travel.
So the question is not which is newer or better, but what you want to do on a Saturday. If your rides are long and steady, the X260 range claim matters most. If you want acceleration, a higher top speed and a bike that can be pushed hard, the Xaber 300 is the one. For the wider picture of other brands, our guides to Sur Ron models and Talaria models compare the rest of the electric dirt bike range model by model.

Segway Dirt eBike X260: the long-range trail bike
The Segway Dirt eBike X260 costs €5,200 and lists a 5 kW peak motor, a range of up to approximately 120 km, a top speed of approximately 75 km/h and suspension front and rear. Those are the figures on our product page, which we last checked on 12 October 2026 against manufacturer and dealer listings. We do not list a battery size or weight for the X260 because we could not source reliable figures, so you will see dashes in the table rather than estimates.
What the X260 is good at is exactly what the product page says: range and calm handling. A 5 kW peak motor is modest next to the Xaber 300, but the point is stamina on long trail rides. What it is not is the fastest bike here, and at €5,200 you are paying for range, not for power. Be careful with any range figure: a claim of up to 120 km is a best case, and your real distance depends on rider weight, assist level, terrain and temperature.
Segway Xaber 300: the 21 kW performance bike
The Segway Xaber 300 costs €4,875 and lists a 21 kW peak motor, a 72 V / 44 Ah battery (about 3 kWh), a range of up to 100 km, a top speed of 96 km/h, a weight of 85 kg and full suspension with 220 mm of travel. It comes in Shred Velvet and Black Diamond. Our product page describes it as a high-performance electric dirt bike for riders who want instant torque, quiet running and minimal maintenance.
At 85 kg it is a serious but manageable bike: heavier than the lightest trail bikes, lighter than the biggest machines in the class. The 21 kW peak is the headline, and it is the reason the Xaber is the better buy for most riders who want performance. A bike this fast deserves proper protective gear, and our guides to electric dirt bikes for sale and the comparison page help you set it against other brands.
Price per peak kilowatt: what the numbers say
A simple way to compare value is the catalogue price divided by the published peak power. The X260 works out at about €1,040 per peak kW (€5,200 for 5 kW) and the Xaber 300 at about €232 per peak kW (€4,875 for 21 kW). That is a gap of more than four to one in favour of the Xaber.
Read it carefully. Peak power is not rated power, and a higher kW figure only helps you if you can use it. The X260 is not poor value for what it is built to do, which is range; it simply costs more for much less power. If long range is your priority and you accept a lower top speed, the premium can make sense. If you have no specific need for the extra range, the numbers point to the Xaber 300.
Range and top speed: how to read the claims
Both bikes list a range as an up-to figure: up to approximately 120 km for the X260 and up to 100 km for the Xaber 300. Those figures come from manufacturer and dealer listings, not from our own testing, and range on an electric bike falls with speed, rider weight, steep terrain and cold weather. Treat the figure as a ceiling, not a promise, and plan rides with a margin.
Top speed deserves the same care. The 96 km/h of the Xaber 300 and the 75 km/h of the X260 are specification figures for private land. A fast bike with a limited-range battery will not reach its range claim if you ride at full throttle. Ask us before ordering what the figure means for the version we deliver, because specifications may vary by model year and market, and we confirm the exact specification before your order is final.
Road status: can you ride either Segway on the road?
No, not as supplied. Both are sold as off-road bikes for private land. Under Regulation (EU) No 168/2013, a two-wheeler that is registered for public roads has to be type-approved in an L category such as L1e or L3e; an off-road-only model does not have that approval and cannot simply be registered afterwards. Our product pages say the same: the bike is not road-legal in Denmark without registration, insurance and, where required, homologation.
Rules differ by country, so check the national guides before you buy: Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Spain and Finland. For a broader explanation of the rules, our electric dirt bike buying guide covers it. If you need a road-approved bike, ask us which models in the range are.

- A cheaper entry point: neither Segway is the cheapest bike we stock; compare them with the Sur-Ron Light Bee X, which starts lower.

Buying checklist and common mistakes
- Decide range or performance first. The two bikes are built for different things.
- Treat range as a ceiling. Up-to figures are best cases.
- Compare peak with peak. Peak power and rated power are different numbers.
- Check road status. Both are off-road bikes for private land.
- Beware of too-good prices. Buy from a seller with a registered business and a guarantee.
- Check parts and support. Pads, chain and tyres wear.
- Budget for protective gear. A helmet and protection are not optional.
